Today we met with a part of the family to visit the Festning Oscarsborg in the Oslo Fjord.
The Festning is operated by the Norwegian Army and you can reach the island by a small ferry from the cute town of Drøbak. Costs are 120NOK for Adults.
It is definitely worth a visit, the history of the island is breathtaking and closely connected to Germany too, from the delivery of the cannons 1892 by Krupp in Essen to the second world war.
The next 2 nights we will spend with our Norwegian family.
